What Makes Your Heart Rejoice?

This painting by Monica Stewart is titled, Rejoice . . .
and when I saw it, I couldn't help but wonder . . .

What makes my heart dance?
What makes my soul rejoice?

For me...it's young children playing...seeing my dog race around my house the minute I walk in the door...making my parents and loved ones proud...laughing over the phone with old and new friends...succeeding at something I've been working hard to accomplish...listening to 80s tunes like Slick Rick's 'Children's Story'.... and Prince's 'Pop Life'.

How 'bout you, what's got you dancing, singing and rejoicing today?

E - You may not be rejoicing, but I'm sure others are rejoicing because of you. Cotton tip lost in the ear, huh? Dang...I'm laughing too!

SP -- thanks for visiting. Shoot I could use some rest right about now. Glad to know you'll be back, and I'll check you out too.

PG -- what can I say? rejoicing in children's laughter, telling folks you care about how you REALLY feel and making time for yourself (all are such blessings). Continue to rejoice and be blessed, ma.

What makes my heart dance? Would have to be music.

What makes my soul rejoice? When I witness an act of kindness.

It may sound corny, but sunrises and the air I breathe makes my heart dance and rejoice. My couch is right in front of my floor to ceiling window and I love watching the sun rise before I meditate in the mornings. :-)

Hello Michelle: I am rejoicing over life itself how God is constantly working in my life and lifting me up every day. How i am taking joy in children as well, my writing (even though I've been distracted the past couple of weeks), socializing w/ my friends - laughing so hard my cheeks redden and ache, like I said - Life itself - so thankful.
I am one of the "brightest" people u'll meet. So when I'm down, u'll know I'm down.

Dr. Serani -- witnessing acts of kindness does my soul good too.

Cherlyn -- Sunrises? Not corny at all. There's no better, more beautiful way to awaken the spirit.

Rose -- sounds like you may want to get your dog auditioned on 'So You Think You Can Dance.' (hee) What lovely visions you've shared. Thanks for stopping by.

Elsie -- Rejoicing in God, friends, laughter and children? Sounds like your life is filled with joy -- no wonder you're so bright!!! Thanks for visiting.
